DUBAI: Palma Development has commenced enabling works for West Residence, the first residential tower at Serenia District, a Dh5 billion master-planned waterfront community located in Dubai’s Jumeirah Islands.

The developer has appointed APCC Piling & Marine Contracting to carry out shoring and piling works, marking a key milestone in the project’s phased delivery.

Spanning over 600,000 sq. ft. of land and with a built-up area of 3.5 million sq. ft., Serenia District will consist of six distinct towers centred around a wellness-driven lifestyle. A dedicated Serenia Signature Clubhouse, an amenity-rich podium, the Serenity Lake, and lush landscaping will form the core of the community's offering.

Design philosophy

Designed by Nikken Sekkei, Japan’s premier architectural firm and ranked third globally, Serenia District reflects the Japanese “Ireko” design philosophy, which embraces serenity, simplicity, and space-conscious living. The development integrates architecture and nature, with walkways stretching 20 kilometres throughout the community to promote wellness and connection.

A standout feature of the design is the starlight façade, which takes cues from natural elements and shifts its appearance from day to night, reinforcing the district’s commitment to elegance and experience.

Developer commitment

Commenting on the appointment of APCC, Omar Derbas, Executive Director, Development & Engineering at Palma Development, said: “We are pleased with the appointment of APCC Piling & Marine Contracting, whose professionalism we witnessed during the construction of Serenia Living at Palm Jumeirah. Their track record assures us of quality results as we continue delivering this landmark development.”
